“I preconized the Installux’s flat roof home extension. Esthetically, it allowed creating a surprise effect with an indoor skylight, invisible from outdoor. The illusion is perfect: thanks to the installation of a pelmet with upstands on the upper part of the façade (true structure of a flat roof), any one located bellow in the garden thinks the roof is flat. It is only once inside that the surprise comes to life: a gigantic glass roof of 5.5 on 3.5m offers an incredible clarity to the room, whatever the season.

A full-fledged room

This home extension became a full-fledged room for the house. Furthermore, she possessed a wood skeleton and walls in which are hidden all the ducts (gas fireplace connected to the house, ventilation…), a raised floor and a complete sealing, extending the one installed all around the house. A living room which is integrally a part of the home, and which gives the impression to live outdoor all the year, without suffering from the cold in winter and from the heat excess in summer. A healthy and agreeable room!

A glass roof and a maximum solar control

The skylight is the ideal solution to bring even more light to the indoor space. Therefore, to fully enjoy it, you have to stay in control of this light delivery. This is the reason why we recommend the installation of a blind. Once opened, it disappears completely in the roof, letting the sky view perfectly clear. In summer, the micro-perfused technical fabrics permit to diffuse the light without letting the heat in. In winter, they also play a regulator role allowing the room to keep the warmth accumulated. For an optimal comfort, the roof blinds are remote-controllable.
