From light and audace
By the craftsman's own admission, this unusual project is one of his greatest successes. And with good reason! This complete renovation project, incorporating an upstairs extension, includes no less than ten joineries and a glazed railing, all designed around the dual concept of safety and quality.
At the origin of this bold project, the owners' desire to renovate the facades, which seemed outdated to them. Not wanting to do things by halves, they also opted to add an extension overhanging the terrace. The key words were: volume, light, contrast. During the first phase of the project, the craftsman-manufacturer, architect and owners consulted each other to consider all aspects of the project, and above all to lay the foundations for a genuine relationship of trust. All agreed to create an upstairs space with a flat-roofed extension, resting on two metal pillars, in a revisited 1970s spirit.
For the choice of joinery, another key focus of the project, the owners, motivated by a desire for assertive design, followed the craftsman's advice. They chose a high-performance combination of Espace® 70TH windows and Galaxie® 45TH sliding bay windows. A remarkable sliding corner window measuring 6 x 2.2 m, and 3 m for the return, whose tapered profiles offer an unobstructed, unobstructed view of the garden. In the same spirit, a series of nine single-leaf windows completes the façade. The result is a new, sleek, contemporary aesthetic. The latest addition, the glass balustrade, ensures security while blending into the overall design without obscuring the view.

Sun protection well-thought-out
What's more important than clear glazing is effective solar protection. After all, good light doesn't have to cause overheating in the interior rooms. The project therefore includes various high-performance solar protection solutions.
To guarantee both luminosity and comfort, the bay window has been fitted with a set of motorized, adjustable aluminum louver sunbreakers. This provides natural, flexible modulation of sunlight to interior rooms, and enhances the aesthetics of the facade with alternating horizontal and vertical lines. In addition, to enhance thermal performance, all joinery has been fitted with high solar protection glazing. The corner sliding window features Warm Edge glazing, an innovative product that neutralizes thermal bridges and integrates perfectly with the 45TH profiles. The other windows feature low-emissivity glazing. In this way, they filter the sun's rays to prevent infrared rays from overheating the rooms.
Testimony
"It's a big project, yes, but that didn't put us off! We love this house, but its very 1980s look was beginning to weary us. So we decided to completely renovate and modernize it. To do so, we chose a trusted artisan manufacturer who was able to offer us innovative, high-quality, high-performance products. The project would never have come to fruition without it."
